We all spend hours on maintaining our skin but often forget the importance of a regular lip care routine. The skin on the lips is thinner than the rest of the face and is easily affected by the weather, often turning chapped and dry without proper care. Regular use of lip balms along with a few simple tips can keep lips soft.
Hydrate–Staying hydrated is one of the simplest ways to keep skin healthy. Eight glasses of this miraculous liquid can keep your lips soft, moist and prevent drying. In fact, drinking water is one of the most effective treatments for chapped lips.
Exfoliate–Our lips start cracking when the top layer dries out. A Lip Scrub should be used once a week (Twice if required) to remove the dry and flaky skin.Care should be taken while using an exfoliator as over-scrubbing can damage the lips. Exfoliation soothes dry lips and leaves you with a soft sensation (and a plump pout!)
Tip-A lipstick will glide on smoothly after using a mild scrub on lips.
Method–Take a warm cloth and keep on your lips for 5 minutes to soften the dry skin. Use a lip scrub and rub in circular motion till the top layer is removed. Do not forget to apply a nourishing balm after the scrub.
