Forest Essentials is one of my favorite skincare brands, and most of their products have worked wonders on my skin. Not to mention, they are beautifully packaged and smell divine! I am almost in love with the product that I am reviewing today- Forest Essentials Lightening and Brightening Tejasvi Emulsion. It seems tailor-made for my skin and gives amazing results with regular use.

Product Claims: This unique Emulsion removes blemishes and pigmentation by combining the potent properties of age-old Ayurvedic herbs, pure whole cream cow’s ghee, Sweet Almond oil, Virgin Coconut oil, and Kokum butter blended with purifying and skin lightening and brightening herbs, root and flower extracts. The base of pure Cow’s milk ‘Ghee’, which is aged to extract the desired benefits, instantly provides extraordinary lighting of the skin tone and brightening of the skin. With regular massage, the skin acquires a noticeably soft, fairer, resilient and ‘plumped’ quality with a radiant glow or “Tejas”.

How To Use: Apply on clean damp skin. Take a small quantity and massage well on the face and neck area for 10-15 minutes. Dab off the excess with a hot towel, followed by a facial scrub or cleanser. (In case of very dry skin, a scrub is not required). Use chilled floral toner or splash cold water to tone and seal the skin

Price: Rs. 1,675 for 25gms.

Key Ingredients: Cow Ghee, Kasturi Manjal, Saffron, Organic Beeswax.

My Experience With Lightening and Brightening Tejasvi Emulsion: My skincare routine is incomplete without the mention of Forest Essentials Tejaswi Emulsion. I have been using it for several years and it still occupies a permanent place in my daily routine. This emulsion comes in a glass jar with a golden screw cap and the packaging is luxurious like other products from the brand. But, I wish they had included a spatula in the packaging!

This emulsion is wine in color and has a thick but soft texture, its consistency is similar to solidified ghee ( clarified butter) which is one of its main ingredients. Despite its thick texture, it glides smoothly and gets easily absorbed into the skin. I prefer to use it in the night on damp skin and massage for 10-15 minutes before wiping it off with a wet cloth. It leaves no oily residue behind and doesn’t make my face look like an oil slick. In fact, it adds a subtle glow to my skin and immediately makes it appear softer and smoother. In the morning, I wash my face with warm water and use an ubtan to cleanse my face. This product improves the texture of the skin and also removes tan to some extent. It also helps in lightening pigmentation but you have to be consistent with its use in order to see the results.

Forest Essentials Tejasvi Emulsion Review

Tejaswi Emulsion has ghee like smell which may get overpowering for people with a sensitive nose. However, I am into DIY remedies and natural products so I don’t mind its fragrance. The good thing is that its smell doesn’t linger and disappears after some time.

This is a great product for normal and dry skin. You can also use it for its anti-aging properties to prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I will recommend doing a patch test if you have oily or sensitive skin to ensure it doesn’t cause breakouts.

Verdict: A Big YAY! I love Forest Essentials Lightening and Brightening Tejaswi emulsion and will recommend it for its excellent results. Massage it into your skin to moisturize,  brighten your complexion, improve the appearance of your skin and to lighten pigmentation.
