7 DIY Face Masks for Dry Skin In Winters

at
7-diy-face-masks-for-dry-skin-in-winters

Autumn is in full swing and the windy weather has started to have an effect on my skin. I keep slathering on moisturizing lotions all day to combat dryness but it still looks dull and lackluster. If you have dry skin like me, you will understand that it needs more than ample hydration to fix these issues.

I usually turn to DIY face masks to address my skin related concerns. Since we are getting closer to winters, I thought of sharing some amazing DIY face mask recipes that are great for pampering dry skin. You can use these face masks weekly with your new skincare routine to transition your skin through to the winter season.

Homemade Face masks are a great way of treating many skin issues. These are gentle on the skin and free of any harsh chemicals. The recipes that I am sharing today are super easy and can be made with readily available ingredients in your pantry. These face masks give spa-like results and skin looks supremely soft in just one use!

Yogurt-Honey-Oatmeal Mask

Yogurt-Honey-Oatmeal face mask is a tried and tested beauty treatment that leaves the skin radiant and moist. Yogurt is a natural cleanser and moisturizer. When applied on the skin, it gently sloughs away dead cells to reveal clearer skin. Honey is a natural humectant, it draws water from the air into the skin and has the ability to retain this moisture.

Oatmeal is great for soothing dry, irritated skin. Its cleansing and exfoliating properties make it suitable for use on dry, sensitive skin.

7 DIY Face Masks for Dry Skin

Ingredients

One Tablespoon Yogurt

One Tablespoon Honey

One Tablespoon Oats

Instructions

Blend one tablespoon oats to form a coarse powder. Add one tablespoon yogurt and honey to form a thick paste. Apply this mixture on the face for 20 minutes. Wash off.

Coffee Face Mask

Coffee face mask is such a treat for the skin! It is made with some of the most delicious ingredients and is perfect for rejuvenating tired skin. Besides treating dryness, this face mask brightens complexion and decreases puffiness. The best thing about coffee is that it is suitable for all skin types. All you have to do is to add ingredients as per the needs of the skin. Since this face pack is meant for dry skin, I will recommend adding milk and honey.

You can also add some cocoa powder to this mask. Cocoa powder is rich in antioxidants and is good for repairing skin. damage. You might remember the DIY chocolate face mask recipe that I had shared a few days back. This coffee face mask is similar to that but has the added benefits of coffee.

Ingredients

One Tablespoon Coffee Grounds

One Tablespoon Cocoa Powder

One Tablespoon Honey

Milk

Instructions

Take one tablespoon coffee grounds and one tablespoon cocoa powder. Add one tablespoon honey and milk to form a paste. Apply this delicious mask on your face for 20 minutes and wash off.

Avocado Face Mask

I love Avocado, it tastes delicious on my toast and Iย can use it as a face mask too! It is rich in healthy fats that nourish and moisturize dry skin. You can use a ripe avocadoย on the face or mix it with other wonderful ingredients to whip up a creamy face mask.

Banana is rich in vitamins and minerals, many of which are great for the skin. This deeply nourishing mask enhances the skin texture and is also known for its anti-agingย benefits. Use this mask to reveal beautiful, glowing skin!

Ingredients

Half a Banana

One Tablespoon Yogurt

One Tablespoon Honey

Mash half a banana to ensure there are no chunks. Add one tablespoon yogurt and one tablespoon honey to form a smooth mixture. Apply this face mask for 20 minutes and wash off. This mask can get a little messy in the beginning so keep a tissue handy!

Egg Honey Face Mask

Eggs are great for DIY beauty treatments. Egg white masks give an amazing tightening effect to the skin and egg yolk masks provide deep hydration. In fact, egg yolks are one of the best remedies for dry skin. They are rich in protein and fats that are excellent for revitalizing dull skin.

I love to use this face mask in winters. It moisturizes the skin and improves overall appearance.

You can use either milk powder or milk for this face mask. I generally use milk powder as it is easier to apply on the face.

Ingredients

One Tablespoon Milk Powder

One Tablespoon Honey

Instructions

Take one tablespoon milk powder and add water to make a thick paste. Now add one tablespoon honey and mix well. Apply this mask for 20 minutes before washing off.

Olive Oil Face Mask

This ultra-moisturizing face mask is suitable for very dry, parched skin.ย  Olive Oil has the ability to penetrate deep into the skin and hydrate it from within. It is great for use on aging skin due to its anti-aging properties. When combined with antioxidant-rich honey, olive oil forms a rich face mask that can work wonders on the skin.
